You know, I was thinking..Because I have a horrid time coloring things, through digital or traditional means...but more when it comes time to use a program like Photoshop or whatever...Anyhoo, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good coloring tutorial? Because I love seeing flawless coloring, like say, Ami's or Blossom's, or a number of people here...
I just thought, since we have a wonderful linearting tutorial (Link), now we need to know how to color in the lines! (Which I have a hard enough time doing--Just staying in the lines and not getting an icky mess......) [/color]

*sees name listed and dies of heart attack* You actually think I have flawless coloring?! That's like, a miracle! xDDD
-ahem- On to your point I don't use a tutorial for coloring; I generally just make a new layer, magic wand whatever part I'm coloring and brush it in ._. Any shading or anything is usually done very unprofessionally with dodge and burn or selecting a lighter/darker color x3 So yeah, I would love to help you here, but really I have no idea what I'm doing in the first place so you might want to ask someone else, like Ami or Laur or something x]
As for a tutorial, DA generally has lots of good ones, you could go to their Resources and Tutorials section and just search for 'coloring' or something :3
Sorry I'm such little help here ^^;;

I have one for coloring with layers (and "staying within the lines"). It doesn't really describe where to shade much, but you won't have an icky mess! keirasone.deviantart.com/art/Using-Basic-Layers-45765553People have said it's pretty easy to follow, so I hope it'll be useful to you.

Hmm...that reminds me that I've been meaning to make some tutorials. If I ever get around to making a coloring one (like next semester when I actually have time), I'll let you know.
If you don't mind a more anime-ish style, specifically hair, you could try this and this. The first offers a lot of advice about placing and blending shadows, and the second gives some amazing tips for hair. I swear by them, personally.
And thanks for the compliment, luv. (:
