Okay. So. The marraige boards have been neglected for far too long. If two lucky Peos want to get married, then what will they do without it?
Sooo....we need an official minister! Josye was going to be one, but then she quit, so...I think we need some one to be a full-time minister.
Prefrably some one who *doesn't* have a Peo that wants to get married right away. I'd also like to see some one who is an established member here. Otherwise, go ahead and post here if you're interested.

I know Spikey voulenteered Rashinja to be the Pagan Priest, and Rayneance'll be the Priestess. As for the other religeons, so you'll have to get other peoples XD

It's oh-too-bad that my Peophin and Uni are both females, otherwise I could suggest a Christian priest, but neither are males.

I guess one of mine could be a christian priest, but I'm not too affiliated with the way that marriages go. I've only been to one wedding. ^^;

Why can't the priest for Christian weddings be female? That seems a little sexist.

Man, I would volunteer Ouragan to be a Christian minister, because he's loosely based on my grandpa who IS a Christian minister ((TeeHee)), but I'm next to clueless on how all that stuff works. I bet I could find all the vows and crap on Google if I really wanted to.
[EDIT] - You have a point Ragles, it is sorta sexist. Traditionally ministers have always been men, since men are supposed to be the 'leaders' and 'providers' ...but then again, most men are retards. XD

No, gender will have nothing to do with it. Anyone who wants to be a minister can be.
I'm a little wary about religious marraiges though. Maybe Pagan, but as far as others go, I both and afraid it may get a little too complex, and reluctant to bring religious matterst to the boards, outside of the adult forum.
Also, we don't need the ceremonies to be exact. We don't really want to perform marraiges. I think we should have fun with them and be creative. ^^

Unitarian weddings are kinda fun, cause we spoof it up so it isn't all sappy and weepy. Cause we have no specific 'God' or whatever, the people getting married can believe whatever they want.
On mother's day my YUUTH group had to design a sunday service about growing up and about mothers(obviously) because it was our Coming of Age thing which is kinda like that thing in Christianity when you get dedicated to the church or whatever... My part was to say these cliche things that parents say to you like 'Don't do drugs' and 'Eat your vegetables' and it was really fun. And my mom read this thing from Robert Fulghum's book "I learned everything I need to know in Kindergarten". It really spoofs things up if you add fun stuff like that, so that people aren't all weepy and bored.

Hmmm...I'd be glad to volunteer, except I'm not sure if any of my peos have a decent personality to be a minister... :thinks: It would give me a reason to post more, though...
EDIT: scratch that, Cylistiel would probably make a good candidate...I just gotta register him... ^^

*cough* um, my pets are in their own religion... if you've been in a RP w/ me or whatever, you'd know their gods/godesses are faeries, so i can be one or one of my pets can, or hetu or someone else can borrow my hbcgf acc and be the minister.

All of my peos and unis aren't getting married anytime soon. Any of them would be happy to do. Most likely Rhi. Er...I need to get her here first, lol.

I say we have non-religious ceremonies, based simply on love. Like that hidden bonus track on those BackSteet Boys CDs from Burger King sung by some no-name chick, "My religion" Maybe I can find the lyrics somewhere. XD *ahem* Anyway, I think Ouragan would make an excellent pastor, and as you probably know I'm on nearly every day so that wouldn't be an issue. ((EDIT: If anyone cares I found the lyrics to the song XD www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/krystalharris/myreligion.html ))

Umm... well it pretty much didn't have to do with anything, but I was just saying that we could all just do non-religious ceremonies, and like in that song it talks about how "My religion does not hate, always lends a helping hand etc etc" and I was just saying that that's something I think we can all agree on. e_e;;;

0.o I'm confused too. ^^; But I do agree with you Beth. The ceremonies hsould be based on love, not religion. *If* the bride and groom *both* want to have a slightly religious twist to their ceremony, that can be accomodated, but other than that, I say no strict religious ceremonies.
I'm surprised how many offers for ministers we have! I'm afraid we have more potential pastors than potential spouses now. I think I'm going to have to get a count of how many people are interested (with the specific Peophin they would use).

Me personally, I don't have a religion so my imput on this doesn't really help. xD
There is no way I can see Peo being a Priestesst (or whatever we decided to call them). -starts to laugh-
Peo: Hey! Don't laugh at me! -WHACKS-

Well, I'd like a Catholic wedding for Daff if Berven ever proproses, and Kitty said that's all right. =3 If it's not too much trouble. But a Christian wedding is all right, too. >D Cause I'm nice. Speaking of Kitty, where is she? Daff: Is Berven gonna propose or WHAT? Anyway, I haven't seen her around lately.

Well, I know this board had its last post over a month ago, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in anyway. I agree that there should be no real religion, but what about a made up one? I mean, Peophins and Unis are real to us, but not to the real world... so what if we had a non-religious religion that could be real with the Peophins and Unis? Like... instead of Christianity and Catholism, it could be Peophinism or something along those lines. It could be a religion where everyone can believe whatever they want, but we could all have one standard set of customs as far as weddings, etc. go.. and instead of having preists we could call it something fun like: Applian (I got it from apples..) or Carror (from carrots..) or ExtremeHeadRulerOfEverythingToDoWithAnythingIncludingApplesCarrotsAndYourLives (Hmm.. not sure where that one came from ^_^). Well, you get the idea. And in case you're wondering why I'm so... strange... right now, its all the chocolate coffee. Yep! But anyway, that's my two cents. If it doesn't make sense, I will edit it after my caffine/sugar buzz goes away.
