I clearly adore sparkles and glitter and shine far more than is healthy.
Anyways, I thought I'd share a little portrait of Rina that I whipped up recently in preparation for entry into the Beauty Contest! The Art board is closed off, so I wasn't quite sure where else to put this... Hope this is okay. :x
She actually doesn't have head fins in her actual original design, but TNT rejected my entry without the fins, so I added them in an effort to make her look more Peophin-like. Dx Hopefully it works out this time.
Anyways, let me know what you think! I'd love to hear some comments/reviews/critiques from all of you. <3
p.s. Thank you to Frosty for moving this! c:

Blossom, this is beautiful! I really love how you've made all the jewelry shine and added just enough sparkle around it so the whole thing pops without distracting from the actual portrait. Wonderful! I'll be sure to vote for you in the BC.

I agree with Jackie! The shine is gorgeous but doesn't detract from the picture as a whole. And I actually LOVE the ear-fin! I think it looks great! And the jewelry you added looks wonderful! The way you do hair is so lovely! *swoon*
Happy Holidays to all on the SG! Don't forget to participate in Blossom's raffle!

Tres manifique! However, I do have a little bit of critique, because Lisa got on my ass about this for years before I finally got it- Her eye doesn't quite look like it belongs at the bottom. Maybe it's just the edges around it, but my only issue is her lack of a crease where she should have her bottom eyelid I mean, we know it's there (it's implied by her eyelashes), but just that little addition would give it a million times more emotion Other than that, I love this piece The sparkles aren't on overkill (overkill would have been adding in a lens flare, which would have made me cringe a little), and unless you're looking for it you can't even tell that her fin wasn't there to start with

Thank you so much to all of you for your support! :D I'm sure Rina would greatly appreciate your vote, Jackie :P And I was considering taking the fin back off after the BC, but maybe I'll leave it on if you like it so much, Lndy. >D
Thanks again for the critique, Frosty! I definitely see where you're coming from. I took your advice and darkened the lower lid a little bit - not sure if you can even see it, but it's there. :S I'll definitely focus on this a little bit more in my next work! ^_^
