About Fae
Fae is a loa-- a spirit-- who was brought into the world by a fiercely powerful bokor. However, as time passed, the bokor forgot of the spirit she had summoned and, eventually, left the island where the ceremony had taken place. With no master to send her back into the spirit world, Fae became anchored to the mortal world, and has begun to lose her otherworldly powers. Because of her plight, she can be desperate and bitter; but she in fact has a very playful, fiery nature and loves to play tricks on unsuspecting mortals who venture into her territory to test their competence.
Her situation has left her unstable in more ways than one; on some days, she can barely maintain her physical form, and is unable to manipulate objects or communicate with people without possessing someone to do it for her. This in turn is increasingly draining for her, and she is less and less able to keep control of her "mounts". She is also prone to terrible despair; at these times, natives of the small island on which she resides have reported hearing awful wailing noises coming from the deepest parts of the forest. Fae dislikes being confronted while in this state, however, as she still believes herself to be "above" mortal weaknesses.
Slowly, however, Fae is beginning to accept that she will not make it out of this independently, and seeks a powerful magician who may be able to help her. She does this grudgingly, however, as she is rather adverse to contact with "mere mortals" who don't meet her standards. Additionally, it is difficult for her to travel far in her weakening state, and with each passing day it is harder and harder for her to communicate with mortals. However, if she cannot find a way to obtain her own mortal body, or to return to the spirit world, she will fade from existance.
Theme Song:
Climbing Up The Wallsn by Radiohead
I am the key to the lock in your house
That keeps your toys in the basement
And if you get too far inside
You'll only see my reflection
It's always best with the covers up
I am the pick in the ice
Do not cry out or hit the alarm
You know we're friends until we die
And either way you turn, I'll be there
Open up your skull, I'll be there
Climbing up the walls
It's always best when the light is off
It's always better on the outside
Fifteen blows to the back of your head
Fifteen blows to your mind
So lock the kids up safe tonight
Shut the eyes in the cupboard
I've got the smile of a local man
Who's got the loneliest feeling
