First of, sorry I haven't been on lately, I haven't had much time this week. (No, I haven't forgotten about you sky)
I've almost got the lab ray, all I need is pieces 8 & 9! I've offered several times on the trading post, and it says that they accepted, but my neopoints were still there and the map pieces weren't in my items. Does anyone know how to fix that?
Also, I need help coming up with names for my lab pets. I want an anthero gelert, (Yay my first anthero!) and an evil uni to start with. Any good names that you would think suiting for them?
And lastly, for the SG staff, I was wondering if there could be a plot or perhaps herds? There hasn't been much to roleplay lately.

Hey, good luck with the lab! I only need one more piece...9, I think, but I splurged on something else, so I need to save up again.

Herds or a plot would be FANTASTIC! I would definitely participate. And I have no idea how to fix that trading post thing. It sounds like a glitch You could file a glitch report?

That's a great idea! I would definitely participate, too ^^ Maybe we could have a desert herd for the desert pets out there, or like different herds for the different places our pets live in :3 The roleplay is definitely a little slow nowadays.
As with the trading post, I'm afraid I can't help you there x3 You could try reporting it as a glitch like Lexi said, but I honestly have no idea; I've barely ever used the Trading Post, since I actually managed to find most of my lab map on the floor xDDD Good luck with that! ^^

Ooh, I definetely want a herd rp, where our characters join clans depending on characteristics and such. Then we could have allies and enemies and all that kind of stuff...it'd be a whole 'nother addition to the Heartbreaker's/Groupies thing!

Thanks guys! How would we seperate the herds though? There are so many unique characters here, it would be hard to decide. To start maybe like five herds?
I don't know, I've had that problem since I joined neopets.

We could seperate the groups into terrains. But like generic stuff like the forest clan (I would want to be the leader of that one!) the sea clan, the desert clan...excetra.
Ooh, yeah. About leaders. It would be awesome if we apointed leaders who would deal with rules for each clan, would figure out if they were evil, and figure out a plot for each clan (once there are members) They would be apointed posistions of each clan, and could even go into a society in eah place! Ooh, now I'm getting excited!!
And then that would take care of how we would seperate the groups, because people can just join and apply as they like! The leaders will be in charge of making roleplays, which is where people will get a chance to join. -gigglejump-

You know, I've actually been kind of planning a "herd" type thing for my version of Abydos for a while now. I've just never gotten off my lazy bum and done anything with it. xD So that's a desert type group I hope to start at some point with my Peophin Osiriys as the leader, but I don't mind if there's two or anything if someone else wanted to make one too. Though Osiriys is the perfect leader for that sort of thing, and all of my peophins are desert so I'm obviously quite fond of that environment. xD I have big plans for it, am even considering making a guild for it on Neopets and stuff once I get it all worked out... But anyway, I think it would be rather awesome. And it's not like every character would be required to join one or anything - they're just optional for the more sociable characters. Or.. the not so sociable ones who want to be part of something.

I really, really want to do this. Can Lexi and I start this, as the forest and desert clan? We're going through ideas about how to do this, and it's going really good.

yeah there was another board concerning this sort of idea, obviously everyone is all for it, I think someone should start making up the plans. could we make a 'dark clan'? for the otherworldly type characters and good luck getting all the pieces Its alot more expensive than it used to be, I hope you already have your last peice by now

Yes, what about a forest herd, desert herd, night herd, and a light/water herd? Oh, I want rain to be lead of the forest. Maybe have a lead stallion and a lead mare.

;D I'm glad to see that this suggestion is getting a lot of support so far ^^ I would definitely want Amara to be part of the Forest Clan, maybe as the head magician or something, since I decided to make her a sort of a diety/fairy queen turned into a horse :3 Haven't really gotten the details on that yet
Also, I suggest holding applications for the leads of each herd, so that the qualified charries get the posititons and that people can't just go like, I claim the head of herd so-and-so! and there won't be any arguements about it
Just a question about the different herds, do we want to separate them into different landforms like the forest, sea, and stuff like that, and then separate those into light and dark? :-\ Cause combining stuff like night, water, and light would get really confusing And what about Dani, who lives in the snowy mountains?
Just random thoughts

Laur brought up a good point. In her pm she wanted to make sure that no one felt like they were 'pushed into the background' What if there were like a herd council that anyone who wanted to join could?

I'm agreeing with Amly and Laur here- applications are a very, very bad idea to people who are already accepted into the HBC/G. We already know our Role Playing abilities, why double-check them? xD Seems a BIT goofy to me. I'm in support of this, though I won't have time to join a herd, myself.

I don't know how to handle the leaders of herds.. applications are bad but so is just... proclaiming yourself leader I guess. o.o
Actually, you know... instead of trying to split it into desert/snow/forest/light/whatever herds... why not just have various stallions/mares try to *start* herds and get people to join? Like... herds set in a certain setting, but it doesn't have to be "THE" desert herd, it can be... a herd set in the desert. And since they're optional and not every character has to be in one anyway.. I think that might work best.
Like for example... the thing I was planning on doing for Osiriys was getting people to maybe join the city of Abydos, which would be a "herd" in a sense that it would be a group of unis/peophins who wanted to be a part of it. But I'm not gonna claim that it can be the only desert grouping because that's just silly.
I think it would prevent arguments if we didn't just black and white proclaim such-and-such the leader of the desert. xD

How does your brain cope with sparking off so many wonderful ideas all at once like that, Lexi? xD That would be great, if our characters could start their own groups by themselves and anyone who wanted to join could ^^ That way everyone would have a chance to be a leader, and the success of each group would depend on the skill of that leader I'm all for it ^^

I think that's a great idea! But the only problem I see of that is this. What if everyone tries to start a herd and only can get a few equines to join. I'm thinking maybe like five herds to start until each has say five members. If all the lands are claimed, perhaps there could be an 'overthrow' in roleplay form.

Yes, I agree with all of this. I think we should decided on five people who volunteer to start a herd...and then start a board or some kind of process to get members. That way they can put the boards in any area they want, which will cause allies and enemies and such because of others 'being on your turf'. Only in the roleplay sense of course. ^^
But that might also cause problems, seeing as everyone will want to start a herd. Hm...This is more difficult than I origonally intended.

Yes, does any one have any good ideas on how topic who starts a herd? I suppose we could have a contest to see who can write the 'best history and land' for a herd, but I could see how easily that would start arguments.

Yeah, it would be really hard to extract a concrete "better" history, if you know what I mean :-\ Cause how good a piece of writing is mostly in the eye of the beholder. But yeah, let's first get an idea of how many people are actually interested in starting herds :3
