Welcome to the SG!
If you're here, that probably means you're a new member. Welcome! I will do anything in my power to make your time here as pleasant and fun as possible. If you have any questions at all, please PM me (Ami) and I'll be happy to answer them.
These steps should tell you everything you need to know about setting up your account, organizing your characters, and integrating yourself into the community. If you have a question that is not answered here, feel free to PM me or a mod (anyone with an orange or purple name) or post it in the Ask the Staff thread below this one.
1. After you have signed up, the first thing you should do is edit your profile! First off, you should change your display name. It is recommended that you use the same nickname that you use most often on Neopets, but not your real name.
2. Decorate your profile! Add whatever you like, omit whatever you like. It is suggested that you make an avatar and signature for yourself.
Please list the names of the main Neopets you RP here in your signature. It is also recommended that you add a link to your pets' biographies to make it easier for other members to access them.
3. Rule time! Now, you've already read them, of course ( ) But it's good to review to make sure you understand everything. Read them again here.
4. All set up? Now it's time to get posting! We would all love to know a little bit about you, so your first task is to go to the Owner Bios board, located here.
There is a form provided to fill out, but feel free to add or omit anything that you like.
5. Next, it's time to introduce your pets! All male pets should be introduced here and all female pets should be introduced here.
Pet bios are more open-ended than owner bios. Many people take pride in unique presentations. You may say whatever you like, but be sure to include the basic information included in the templates posted on the bio threads.
6. Well, now it's time to explore! You can go anywhere and post in any thread (except private role plays of course), even if that thread hasn't been active for a while. We all love to see what new folks have to say. Several boards do have rules in addition to the main forum rules. These special rule threads are marked by a icon and you should read them before posting anything on that board.
And that's it! Remember, if you have ANY questions, no matter how pointless or stupid they may seem, please PM me or a mod or post on the Ask the Staff thread. Good luck, and thanks so much for joining!
See you around, Heartbreaker.
