ON THE INSIDE
Personality: Coenak lacks the necessary brains needed in order to properly function. He’s quite the whimsical one, and his mind jumps from one place to another quite rapidly. In a phrase: unpredictably insane. He also tends to be quite vindictive, and he remembers those who wrong him until he has been able to seek out his revenge. He is completely irrational and obsessive and will do absolutely anything for a bone.
Likes: It varies from day to day, but he always enjoys bones, digging, and being with Sibeko
Dislikes: That varies as well, but he always hates dishwashers. ALWAYS
Strengths: Varied, depending on who he thinks he is at the moment
Weaknesses: Varied as well, but almost always bones
Character Flaws: He is totally unstable
HISTORY
Past: Coenak once had a happy life. He lived with a man in Shadowglen who took very good care of him. The man was a grave keeper and Coenak aided him in this job. The two were a super team, the most efficient of their kind. One night however, the grave keeper was not home and Coenak was approached by a man who needed a hole dug, wide and deep enough for two. Not thinking of the danger, he did as he was bidden, digging the hole a ways into the woods, as the man had requested. The man then bashed Coenak’s head in with a shovel while he was finishing the hole, flinging his body and the body of another – he would later know this body as Sibeko – down into the earth. He buried the bodies himself and went away with a triumphant laugh. Through a magic of Sibeko’s, Coenak does not know himself what sort of feat this was, the two souls were able to return to their bodies, though their bodies were decaying and dead and would never work properly again. It was because of much effort that they sought out their murderer and killed him, burying him in the hole that he had dug for them. Sibeko kept the man’s head however, and to this day carries it around, talking to it, though all that’s left by this point is the skull. At some point, they realized that their work was done, it dawned upon the two of them that they didn’t know how to return themselves to the dead. Killing themselves wouldn’t work, as they were technically already dead, but their spirits were still attached to their bodies. It was and still is a mystery to them. They’ve been insane ever since.
