Hello there, old friends!
I noticed that noone has posted in a while but people /have/ been online so I just wanted to get the ball rolling and see what everyone has been up to - I don't want to lose touch with such brilliant people!
Personally, I'm still slogging through vet school but I'm in my last year and doing a different internship every month. I'm being kept very busy! What have you all been doing lately?

I've been pretty busy too, Lilly keeps me on my toes and I'm about 5 1/2 weeks away from my due date now. Plus horse stuff...I sold my filly Maddy last August and just bought her back a week or two ago, so now it's going to be getting her going under saddle, etc. Thomas just graduated from college and is applying for jobs in his field, I'm thinking of going back to school, and hope to be able to work up at the barn a little after the baby is born.

I just finished my Junior year of college, and taking a little break before starting summer classes. I've been super busy up until now, but I'm hoping to finish my novel I've been working on and start teaching my puppy some good tricks.

I started writing a novel back in January- What the Angels Say... about 4,000 words of it before I started hating it passionately. In early April, I started up a new project- The Zombie Knights- I absolutely adore this book. Got 12000 words in, almost, before we had a bunch of storms. The last one fried my internal and external hard drives. (from here on out imma just email copies to myself.) I plan on rewriting it, of course, but still D: No telling when I can replace my computer. I could get one used but... gross. Just gross. After a lot of prayer and research and due to a faulty baby box (it works, but I can't count on it to give me a regular period let alone do anything else it's supposed to), I have decided to adopt I'm going to go for an older sibling group because if I don't, who will? Everyone wants babies. I look forward to just dealing with my nieces and nephews as they work through that part xD. Obviously this is a plan that has to wait until my novel is published, but I am determined to adopt also there has been some other nasty life-altering things that a couple people already know about and one thing only one other person knows about so I feel like I have caught everyone up =D

Aaw, I'm really glad I decided to log on today. I don't want to lose touch with ya'll either (although a lot of you I'm friends with on Facebook now! <3 Which is awesome. I'm Annamarie C. Mickey there if any of ya aren't friends with me yet. ^^) Laur, that's awesome that you're going through vet school! I mean, I think I knew that, but it sounds like you're doing great and I'm so happy for you! Mini, it just sounds like you're so happy (and busy, but in a good way)! I hope Thomas finds a good job and you can pursue what you want in school along with raising two beautiful children. ^^ Hey Yugi, what's your novel about? Just roughly, I know you're wary about posting stuff about it on the Interwebs. Frosty, it seems like everyone's writing! xD I definitely need to put you on my perma-list of prayers to help you get through rewriting. And I think it's wonderful that you've decided to adopt. A little while ago (I think it was on Tumblr), I saw a post sort of railing against pro-life Christians who tell people to adopt instead of abort, but then don't actually adopt themsselves despite the many children without families. That really hit me, because it's so true. So seeing you decide to adopt is really inspiring. AS FOR MYSELF? Well I'm nearly done (finals week now!) with my sophomore year in college. Still English major, theatre minor. I've gone through a lot of bumps (especially this year) with being torn between my work here and the realization that what I REALLY want to do is art (particularly character design, storyboarding, and/or personal comics). However, I've been really inspired and encouraged by some amazing people, including all my Internet friends, my family, and people like Lora Innes (writer/artist of the graphic novel The Dreamer) and Chris Oatley (Disney character designer). Both of them run this comic podcast, Paper Wings Podcast, for people like myself who are trying to work on personal art projects (particularly comics). Chris especially, who has his own website/newsletter and has decided that what he loves more than anything is teaching and encouraging artists like myself, has been so wonderful to me. So even though I go between periods of immense depression with my decision of what I'm pursuing in school and encouragement, overall I haven't lost hope. My current plan is to graduate, get a job (I think I'd like to be an editor), and in my free time work on my current graphic novel, Everdusk (which, yes, has its own website!!). And I have so many other comic ideas bouncing around in my head!! I know now that comicking is what I truly love. So it's just a matter of working through challenges and never getting so discouraged that I give up. lol sorry for the long rant. =B

First off, congratulations and good luck to all of you and your various life ambitions! It is pretty neat to hear about everything you guys do in real life. C:
As for me, the biggest stress source in my life is school. There have been a couple other blows here and there, but school is just never ending it seems. Funny thing about engineering is nearly everything needs a prerequisite, so I've spent the majority of my freshman year taking every science and math class under the sun. Only a few more weeks to go thankfully. I'm so excited for summer; sleeping, eating real food, working here and there, and, of course, writing again!

Gosh, it seems summer can't come soon enough! We'll have to liven this place up. =D Ruan, it's hard for me to explain my novel in rough terms, but I'll give it a shot! xD It's an adventure novel, which follows four main characters. Two of the main characters are a brother and sister pair that come from royalty, and the story essentially follows the sister's journey on realizing what she is meant to do for her kingdom. The girl has a patron goddess who was sent to guide her through this endeavor, who then leads the girl to meet the novel's namesake character. Together, they rescue the brother from what was to be a terrible arranged marriage and journey to find a way not only to better the girl's kingdom, but the world they live in as well. Really cheesy, I know, but I hope the details will set it apart. :3 I've started a tumblr (http://thewoodchild.tumblr.com/) for it that I'll be using to garner interest and to receive some feedback. I'm really excited to work on it this summer. Frosty, glad to hear I'm not the only one writing! I'm sorry about your computer, though. :C I hope school treats everyone well, and I can't wait to see everyone's characters again!
