HP. Hewlitt Packard. Stupidass computers.
Alright, so, before my brother got ahold of my computer, it was running beautifully. You might have read in one of my dA journals that my brother had managed to entirely destroy the internal area of my computer. Well, we didn't know HOW badly until a few weeks ago.
Since that first crash (in which I lost ALL of my petpages, which I'd been working on for months now, all of my unpublished fan/art, and college paperwork,) the damned computer has now crashed THREE TIMES. Four times in just over a month now. It's getting on my nerves to the point of me just flat out wanting a new computer.
And, of course, it doesn't help that every time I attempt to download Mozilla Firefox 2.0, which is still in Beta, it crashes. My weak, pathetic computer can't handle it. So while I can still work online, it's with IE5, which is the basic, minimum requirement for any computer to function halfass decently on the internet. And it's slow, clogging my poor monitor with adverts from wannabe spyware companies.
Now, remember; Frosty has a 2001 HPMX50 Pavilion. It's old, slow, and bulky with a Pentium 2 processor. The newer ones have a Pentium 4 processor. So, not only is my computer rediculously outdated, it's slow. I'm getting redundant here; I hate my computer.
If you've noticed, most of my recent posts are between school hours and my [edit]friends might think I've abandoned them[/edit]. I insist this isn't the case. Between SageCom ISP and living in Bumfooked Egypt, I can't seem to download YIM or Windows Live! for the life of me. The last YIM conversation I had was with CC, when we transferred Arosque and I helped paint Jezabelline, her new Dari peo.
Now, of course, this wouldn't all be so bad if 1. I could download Yahoo! on the school's computers, and 2. I could download my tablet driver. I can, of course, bring my tablet itself (because they have freaking awesome USB drives here,) but, unfortunately, with no tablet driver, that means no pen pressure. And since my tablet is a larger one, it'd be comparable to a freaking mouse pad. eo;;.
Meh.
And top that off with the fact that hour house is very, very likely being foreclosed on, and I'm screwed! We'll be, if we lose the house, kicked out in May. We've got a few houses lined up, all between $18-35,000, and each one would be payed off in less than ten years. [deleted]
Now, this isn't a bad thing. Rachel's been to my house before, and knows how difficult it is to get back to it. Ivan, her father, couldn't even drive up the hill to get TO the house because it's bumpy and it would have gutted the poor front-wheel drive. Now, imagine a two-track, private (meaning the county doesn't take care of it) road, and a 70 year old man shovelling snow in
-50 weather. That's how old my dad will be when the house is paid off! And not to mention the fact that my mother and I are really, really starting to hate the layout of the house. Since she's going blind, I'm going to stay at home for virtually as long as I can until my dad can afford to retire and I've got a steady teaching job to help supplement their bills. So I've got a pretty big say in where we live. There's one house I'm really looking at- it's a 4 bedroom, 1 bath home with a 20x20 polebarn and a 24x24 basement. 0_0!!! And for $35,000! !!! I'm excited, if you couldn't tell! There's another one that's cute, has a huge yard, and is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath. And it's in walking distance of grocery stores and such.
McKenzie and Hayliegh probably won't make it to the move, though- McKenzie's ear tumor is really getting to her, and Hayliegh's lukemia is making it so she's only wanting to eat 3-4 days out of the week. KD's finding a new home with someone who's lost their Boxer when some idiot 'friend' left the front door open and the poor pup was hit by a truck in front of the lady's 6-year-old autistic daughter. Needless to say, she didn't even bat an eye when we said she'd cost $400 with AKC papers and Obedience trained. Actually, she was rather pleased xD. Bloo's been attacking our other Boxers recently- he ripped Lina's toenail off from the root bed and took off 2 of KD's. Needless to say, it's a freaking bloodbath when Bloo is out with the other dogs. So that's four dogs that will be rehomed and euthanised. Bloo... meh. Bloo is too agressive, even though my mom and I are trained dog rehabilitators, and that's saying something. So we're either going to try and give him another 5 months, or euthanise him. We're not going to throw an agressive dog in with a poor, unsuspecting family that only sees a cute, long-nosed collie mutt. Reguardless of all the stuff we've attempted to do for him, he's still failing when it comes to other dogs. I'm thinking we're going to quarentine him for a few weeks and give him some one-on-one training. *gets out clicker*
Well, this is so much longer than I planned. You have no idea. So, I'mma give your eyes a break... for now.
