This was all written on the new tablet so excuse the length and any absurd typos. Blame it on auto correct xD
Mem looked up from her silk, once again admiring her purchase. Pizza! I figured that they'd have a pretty good selection so I ordered five different kinds in case one or more of them tastes like a dung doughnut.
She had noticed the way Felicity looked around the room- it haIt d been a while since she herself had looked at a room with such curious amazement. They had a bit of money when she was growing up, but nowhere near the amount she had now. Her Alma mater had been a standard one, a sort of state school. The only designer handbag she'd had then had been a five neopoint knockoff that her best friend had given to her on her thirteenth birthday. She still had it.That feeling of wonderment, she knew of- the room represented financial stability and security to the mare.
It's a nice room, if a bit of overkill on the niceties.

Felicity jumped up at the sight of food. All those boxes of pizza! Far, far more than a Lupe and a Peophin could eat--no matter how ravenous they were. She fell upon one of the pizzas like a Crokabek, not minding manners at this point. She hadn't realized how hungry she was! Beats any room I've ever been in, she said in response to Mem's comment, taking a bite of her slice--it was potato and leek, and surprisingly delicious.
As Mem admired her cloth, Felicity suddenly remembered something. Her paw went to her neck and took out the Shadow Flower Amulet. Fyora's Staff. In all this going-on, I had nearly forgotten about this necklace your father gave me, she said, holding out the pendant so she could admire it. It is quite pretty. I wonder if it has any sort of magic upon it?

-is an asshole and will right this-
Mem shuddered a bit at the potato and leek pizza, taking instead a huge slice of pineapple pizza. It's definitely one of the better ones I've been in- which is saying something, considering the locals. She spoke with her mouth full of food, showing her grassroots heritage. She had, after all, never really considered herself a lady. My magic is pretty weak, never really been able to be a good barometer of this sort of thing. My aunt, Ange, is the magic whiz of the family. She eyed the pretty necklace, watching as it glimmered in the light.
She didn't feel entranced by it, but felt more... in awe of the multifaceted gem. The three rubies glistened, set in their pewter homes. That motherjumper has to be five, six carats total- I didn't see the other rubies off to the side at the Cove. While a part of her was itching to hold it to get the total weight from it, the pewter would make the judgement impossible without a jewellery scale- an abominable thing to deal with anyhow. She glanced over to the two platters currently in residence in the kitchen- if someone decided to piss her off later, she'd throw the Foie de gras at them. In her current state, the last thing she wanted to think about was little duckies with tubes down their throats. She returned her thoughts to the necklace. Even if it does have magic, what on earth would you do with it? You don't really seem the dark-aligned type. Mem knew from Ange's teachings that things in magic were generally exactly what they seemed- light to light, dark to dark. Only once in a blue moon would there be an object disguised as a light object that was secretly dark- and even then, those artefacts typically became in tune to the beholder after a while- a change of alliance. That facet of magical study fascinated the young mare.

Already pulled away from harbor and several miles away from the Krawk Isle port, the revelation of what the Shadow Flower Amulet did finally hit Sorrov in a nightmare. He awoke in a sweat, panicked despite the cheery whistling from the cleaning crew onboard. But it was just a nightmare, right?

ooc | shoop shoop I dunno if I can promise reliable responses, but I feel bad about letting this die. :< I should put the SG up in my Favorites Bar so I can feel the guilt every time I go on-line LOL also sorry for such a short post ;_;
ic | Felicity glanced over at Mem when she mentioned being darkly aligned. Her face impassive, the Lupess lowered the necklace slightly--she'd been holding it up to her face, gazing at it intently. There were a few seconds of silence, then she finally let out a breath and shook her head ruefully. To be honest, I couldn't tell you what I am, she said, flinging the necklace down on the table. She flumped down on the cushy couch and took another bite of her pizza, which kind of ruined the otherwise serious and pensive look on her face.
Yeah, I don't know. You see... well, if I tell you something kind of ridiculous, would you promise to believe me? Felicity looked up at Mem, her gold eyes hard. Mem's lighthearted comment had caused a whirlwind in Felice's mind, a whirlwind of memories and bitterness. Angels are light, certainly... but I'm not one of them anymore.
